ACH transfer
Automated Clearing House transfer, a bank-to-bank electronic payment processed through the US banking network. Slower than card (1-3 business days) but cheaper (typically 0.8% vs 2.9%). Best for large invoices where the fee difference is meaningful.
Payment link
A secure, unique URL Hub generates for each invoice. The customer opens it on their phone, selects a payment method, and pays without downloading an app. Expires after 30 days by default.
Stripe
The payment processor Hub integrates with for card and ACH transactions. Stripe handles PCI compliance, fraud detection, and fund disbursement. Hub does not store card numbers.
Split payment
A payment schedule where the total invoice is divided into multiple charges, typically deposit at signing and balance at completion. Hub automates each charge trigger.
Accounts receivable
Money owed to your business for completed work that has not been paid yet. Automated payment collection reduces AR balance by accelerating the time between job completion and payment receipt.

What payment methods does Hub support?

Credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and ACH bank transfer. Apple Pay and Google Pay supported on mobile. Hub does not process cash or checks, but lets you record them manually.

When does the payment link get sent?

The moment your team member marks the job as complete in Hub. You can also configure it to send at estimate approval (for deposits) or at any custom job stage.

What are the processing fees?

Card processing runs at standard Stripe rates (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). ACH bank transfer is typically 0.8% capped at $5. These are pass-through Stripe fees; Hub does not add a markup.

Can I send a partial payment or deposit link?

Yes. Hub supports split payment schedules: deposit at contract signing, balance at job completion. You configure the split per job type or per client.

Does Hub send payment reminders if the customer hasn't paid?

Yes. Hub sends automatic reminders at 24 hours, 48 hours, and 7 days after the initial payment link. You can configure the reminder cadence in your account settings.
